Medieval Madness

Medieval Madness is a memorable, fun night out of political satire set in 15th century England. It's fair maidens with food and ale, song, comedy, Europe's finest ale and real sword competitions. It's short bursts of entertainment. It's fellowship and fun with friends old and new. It's a revolution in the arts, the only destination which joins so many artistic disciplines into one powerful night, the only destination which produces brand new shows every four months. Join the revolution and partake of the fun!

Groups of eight or more do enjoy special group rates of $45 per person.

For this price you will enjoy:

  • A four course feast
  • An hilarious comedy show
  • Live sword-fighting
  • Gorgeous fair maidens
  • And beer! or raspberry mead! Other drinks available as well.

Showtime is 5:00 PM on Saturday Night. The doors open at 4:30 PM by the Duke's Decree, tickets are non-refundable, however, if you contact us within 24 hours of the purchased show, we can reschedule. The show is considered in modern slang to be "PG-13". Children under six years of age are not permitted.

I have a close source (who went with-in the last 2 weeks) tells me the food/sauces are "to die for!" The Mead is *much* preferred over the beer. Be prepared to discuss/listen to today's politics in the language of yesteryear. Good times to be had - see you there!

March 16, 2013 is a go for Medieval Madness, I will be purchasing the tickets tomorrow. But still looking for the 8th person for that group discount!! The more the merrier!! We are not limited to just eight people.

So far Toni, Debbie, Kalli, Toby and myself going. Edith and Mary stated at billiards they want to go, so that makes a total of 7 people. For those who have not paid me, but said they will go, please send me a PM at [masked].

hmm, still deciding if I should dress up, Kalli says the corset is not appropriate.. what do you think Blair? you know the black and silver one I have.. with my funky skirt.. ?? any comments?

    March 12, 2013

    • Blair

Debbie, if you are trying to dress for that time period, as in a costume, then the answer is corset is not appropriate. Now if you are wanting to wear it just to wear it….. that’s all up to you. I’m dressing comfortably, as we will be at this location for a good 2 hours give or take. I know that they do have a 2nd show that night and it starts at 9pm and they have to clean up the hall after our show.

      March 12, 2013

  • Blair

    Ok folks.

I was able to get a total of 10 tickets for the following people:

Toni, Debbie, Kalli, Toby, Edith, Mary, Mary Hamlin, Sherry, MJ and myself.

At this time I am no longer able to get discount tickets. Anyone who wishes to join us will have to pay full price of $59.00.

Ok, I have set up a date for 2 March to give people a chance to sign up for this. We can meet up at a location at 6:15 so that we can all walk in together. PayPal information will be set up later 2 weeks before 2 March.

Looking at the reviews from Yelp everyone is saying this is a great place 4 ½ out of 5 stars! And for those of you who like to participate – you can have a chance to do that!! This show is not for someone who is genuinely into Shakespeare or Medieval Culture. It’s pretty authentic and fun. The show is a comedy and not designed to be anything more than that.

It's in Old Town Alexandria, so parking can be hard to find. However, parallel parking is free after 7pm.
