"The Power of Being Your Target Market"

By Chikodi Chima

Mission Control at Moonshot

We will discuss the power of being your target market.

Women are the CEO's of the home, and they are responsible for 85 percent of all consumer purchases. Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of how female founders can link their brand story with their personal story to influence press coverage and connect with their target customer.

Bio: Chikodi is the founder of Moonshot, a boutique PR consultancy in San Francisco that works with  early-stage and high-growth startups. He is a former staff reporter for VentureBeat and TheNextWeb, and a contributor Fast Company, Mashable, GigaOm. He earned his M.S. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism with a concentration in Digital Media.
Chikodi is the co-founding editor of AltTransport, a blog about renewable energy and transportation published by Breaking Media. Before moving to San Francisco he lived in Bangalore, India, where he was responsible for social media marketing and online community-building for the TEDIndia conference. Chikodi also lived in São Paulo, Brazil, for two months interviewing entrepreneurs for a self-funded reporting project called TechTrotter, about startups in the developing world.
In his spare time Chikodi likes to create succulent terrariums, read fiction and explore San Francisco by foot.

This looks great! Looking forward to it. But its a bit singular. maybe my target market is not like me? Some of my products may be directed to 'typical' women (which I am not), but most of my media message is to serious technologists in a male dominated space
