Operation Safety Net:
It is estimated that there are 52,000 homeless women veterans in the U.S. on any given night. Operation Safety Net (OSN) provides emergency funding for women veterans who are at risk of being homeless. The funding provided is coupled with our financial literacy program, to ensure that women vets don't find themselves in financial hardship again. This program makes a huge impact on combating homelessness among women veterans on a national level. Funding assists women veterans to remain in safe and suitable housing by paying past due rental payments and utilities, funding is also used to secure emergency hotel stays to get homeless women veterans off the street. In extreme cases funds can be used to provide food for women veterans and their children and gas cards for vets to get to work. Your support for this program is crucial!
