My parents bought me my first piano when I was 6 and I have been learning and teaching ever since. I am a classical pianist with 30 years of teaching experience. In 1990, I joined Women of Note chorus, which was new at that time. After being part of the chorus for 5 years, my family moved to California and I was away from the chorus for quite a few years. Now I'm proud to say that I rejoined the chorus in 2011. I love this hobby. We sing challenging songs with women who share a mutual passion for creating harmony. This is also my 11th year as Director of Music Together of Blackstone Valley which is a music and movement program for families with very young children.
Hi, I am the Music Team Chairperson of Women of Note chorus.
Women of Note had an amazing rehearsal last night. We worked a new holiday song because we will be hosting a holiday cabaret in December. Then we dusted off a ballad that we hadn't sung for awhile, and we were quite happy with it's sound. We continued learning our new Friends Medley and it is such a fun song to sing. We did some tag quartetting and our director, Liane, spent time teaching us some vocal techniques to make us better singers and promote sound unity within the chorus. We worked hard and had a great time!
