Excellent work by ThoughtWorks, very well organized. Keep up the good work. Coaches were very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed every second being there as it was very interesting.

Sa 03/29/2014, Womens DIY, Build An Android App: I came thinking 1 person would demo tutorial onscreen, and we'd all follow along, start and finish together. Reading tutorial myself and seeking help as needed worked, though, only I wished I had a secretary or typist as my fingers got weaker from typing.

I wished Eclipse's copy/paste function hadn't been disabled, as Android-Studio's was enabled. But my haggard typing let me see mistakes, and I almost finished tutorial nonetheless. Will definitely go to tutorial site before 30-days and finish it.

Glad that ThoughtWorks provided space. I will look online to see if there is Android stuff I can download to laptop, and do tutorial/training offline, since I don't have internet at home, and like to sit cross-legged in the middle of my bed and compute and read.

I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity and hope there will be many of this sort of programs in weeks to come. In just one day, I have gone from being just an android newbie to becoming an android pro . . . woohoo!

It was well organized and completely focused. I learned more in a few hrs. than I had over the last 2 wks.

Hi Bridget. You can use your existing copy of Eclipse. Check out the "USE AN EXISTING IDE" section of the page at Even if you decide to download the whole bundle, it will not overwrite your existing files (just make sure you put it in a different location and use a different workspace).

If I already have Eclipse on my laptop with existing projects, will downloading the Android SDK and its Eclipse + ADT plugin overwrite any of my existing files or change my current Eclipse?
