Speak up! Stand up! Take risks! Make change! Women are doing it every day, every where in big ways and in small ways in all walks of life. Nothing will change unless we change it. Here is what I mean:   In 2011, women make 77 cents on the dollar of what a man earns. That means we have to work almost 16 months to earn what a man earns in 12 months. (Equal Pay Day is April 17th)

Women held 14.1% of Executive Officer positions in 2011 and only 7.5% of Executive Officer top-earner positions. Women held 16.1% of corporate board seats in 2011, compared to 15.7% in 2010. Women of color still held only 3% of corporate board seats. About one in ten companies had no women serving on their boards.

It was a 72-year struggle to earn the right to vote in 1920 and yet today only very few of us serve in elected office or even cast a vote. This group is a place to talk about the issues that will help women leaders of today and tomorrow understand what we need to do to move forward, to be fearless in our pursuit of equity.
