This month we will be exploring Sekhmet and how she relates to our shamanic path and journey. Sekhmet is a fire Goddess and the most intense part of any transformation happens within the element of fire. It is accomplished through fierce compassion. Sekhmet, the lion-headed goddess is synonymous with power. Sekhmet is becoming one of the most prominent Egyptian archetypes of our time. She has been feared throughout history as a goddess of war and destruction. She also has the capacity as a healer, as we are experiencing in our circle. While she can be an exceptional healer, she is fierce, powerful, strong, and even vicious when necessary. And so are we women.
Come learn more about Sekhmet and her role in our path on this Egyptian journey.
Please dress comfortably, and feel free to bring drums, rattles or other instruments, along with a journal for recording any insights received on the journey we will take following our discussion. Also feel free to bring an item to put on the altar during our circle.
Doors open at 7:00 pm and close at 7:30 pm, and ends at 10:00 pm. Please RSVP to ensure your space. Suggested donation of $10.00 per person to cover the space rental. Come join us for this powerful exploration!
We will be meeting in the Serena Room at Casa de Luz. Some backjacks, folding chairs, pillows and yoga blankets will be available. If possible, you might want to bring your own pillow or blanket to help make sure that you're comfy during the circle, especially if you plan to journey lying down on the floor. You might also want to bring a light wrap or sweater in case the AC is acting up! :) Several of us will be having dinner at 6 PM in Casa's restaurant, so feel free to join us for dinner before the circle!
