Ugh. And I've been fighting a cold all day, been trying to rally, but now I'm running a fever. Don't wish that on any of you so I'll have to sit this one out. And I read the book and everything. Grr. (Gina's out too). See ya next time.

Have been a bit off all day and was hoping that I would start to feel better - in this weather, think it's better for me to sit this one out! Sorry for the late notice - Happy New Year to all - look forward to seeing you next month!

Hello ladies, after an awesome week in beautiful Bahamas I got stranded at the Miami airport. Luckily for me, the timing was perfect...avoided the polar vortex freeze and shoveling. Plus, I was able to rent a car and drive to Tampa to visit my Uncle in the hospital and help my Aunt out. I will be helping them until Sunday. Will miss seeing you all. Stay warm and safe!

Unfortunately I am unable to make it as well...and I haven't had a chance to read the book! I'm really hoping to make the next one...

Please do not let not reading the book stop you from coming to the meeting. This is as much as about the social connection of women and the enjoyment of all books as it is the discussion of just one book.

So sorry -- I'm leaving earlier for a trip to California than I had initially planned when I RSVPd yes. I am reading the book so I'll be there in spirit. And to be a sport, I'll drink a glass of wine at the appropriate hour as well! Enjoy. I do hope to attend in February!

The Sedgwick Stop is just north of North Ave. They have a private back room that I reserved for our group. Just ask for the book group.

Okay, this is eerie! I had wanted to read Book Thief before I saw the movie and that was our first book. Last week I had read an article about the Color Of Water. I walked over to the library to get it. It wasn't available so I requested the next copy. Now I log on to our Book Club and see what the second book is...so shocked to see...umm..I don't believe in ESP but this is too weird...more than a coincidence, of all the millions of books??? Hope it is a good sign.
