Join us as we welcome Winston-Salem, NC author Ray Morrison for a discussion of his short story collection, In a World of Small Truths. These stories are portraits of people caught up in problems most readers can identify with, such as dealing with guilt or trying to understand the actions of others who have disappointed them. “Morrison’s subjects range from dogs to divorce and even to a uterus in a jar. These are stories you won’t soon forget,” says Rusty Barnes, author of Mostly Redneck and co-founder of Night Train. More info about Ray here:

I am not sure what I was expecting when I arrived, but what a wonderful experience. It was great to meet Ray as well as the rest of you. I will admit that I am now scanning my unfinished work for the word laughingly and will delete it on sight.

It was a real treat to meet Ray and have him discuss his process on writing short stories/flash fiction! Thanks to everyone who attended and asked such insightful questions. Catch you next time at Book Club when we host author Clifford Garstang on Fri. Feb. 21st.

I found Ray's stories a bit dark but Ray the man is entertaining, enlightening, and interesting. This contridiction affirms he is an excellent writer. Wonderful morning.
