Wonderland Book Club - Lee Mims, "Hiding Gladys" (mystery novel)

Join us for Wonderland Book Club as we host author Lee Mims who is a popular wildlife artist and who once worked as a field geologist. In Hiding Gladys, geologist Cleo Cooperdiscovers a granite deposit of epic proportions—a dream come true. Not only will she be famous for discovering the easternmost deposit in the United States, she’ll also be rich. And so will Gladys Walton, the owner of the rural North Carolina property that sits atop the bounty of valuable rock. When Gladys goes missing and a murder victim turns up in the well, Cleo works extra hard to keep her test drilling above board and on schedule. But a near-fatal accident convinces Cleo that someone is dead set on killing her, too.

Many of us read fiction like writers, so this group is especially attuned to aspiring writers who want to know more about the craft of writing. The books we chose are all available in paperback and can be found at the library in print or audio.

The Wonderland Book Club is sponsored by the North Carolina Writers' Network (NCWN)

Another fun book club! With Lee Mims as our author guest we discussed the challenging of marketing books, finding the right venues to sell your books and the value of book clubs/signing events to promote your books! Thank you, Lee, and everyone who came out today: Sharon, Laura, Harry, Diana, and Nellie. See you next month for AJ Mayhew's THE DRY GRASS OF AUGUST!
