HAU'OLI MAKAHIKI HOU! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Photo credit: "Mele Pua" watercolor painting by Peggy Chun. 'mele' means song or music, 'pua' means blossom or flower. Peggy was a beloved Hawaii artist who died of ALS, 2009. She was GiGi's aunt. Prints available at: www.peggychun.com

UKULELE SUBURBIA meets on the first Wednesday of each month, except when a major holiday falls on that Tuesday (i.e. - New Years, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Independence Day, etc.) like this month, January! So we're meeting the 2nd Wednesday in January which is 1/8/2014.

RSVP IS MANDATORY. Limited space.

Time: 6-8 PM.

$10 per person. Ukulele Suburbia meetup sessions are more intimate and focused, learning songs, different strums. We take our time playing each song with feeling, playing with 'flavor', character, not just strum through it.

Last night was so much fun. What a nice way to break out of the deep freeze. "Here Comes the Sun".

I love the watercolors by your aunt. I had a dear friend die of ALS and it was terrible to watch. I'm so glad you have your aunt's paintings to help remember her.
