Kadampa Meditation Center GA is a Buddhist meditation center in Atlanta, GA. We offer instruction in meditation and Buddhist spiritual practice through meditation classes, meditation retreats and special meditation events. Meditation is for everyone, from those who seek relaxation to those who wish to follow the Buddhist spiritual path. We promote the teachings and ideals of Kadampa Buddhism in the southeast.
The New Kadampa Tradition is a lineage of Buddhism that is practiced worldwide and is independent of any Asian culture. This lineage was first introduced to the West in 1976 and since then has spread to more than 36 countries and 600 centers worldwide. This lineage originated in India and Tibet, and is presented in contemporary form by the life and works of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. As a not-for-profit organization, Kadampa Meditation Center Georgia (KMC-GA) relies on the generosity of our students and friends to make our programming possible. Along with fees generated by classes held at KMC GA and satellite locations, we depend on contributions to meet our expenses.
