With WP today one can build also very complex sites, of course only if someone knows WP API in depth and its posibillities possibilities.
Anyway, I don't think that this thread here is meant for commercial links to course offers, no matter what the platform is. There are more appropriate ways to do marketing.

Well, this comments platform doesn't support Hebrew characters...
Anyway, will you publish soon also the subject for each speaker ?

    Thanks

I'm really sorry Meetup doesn't support Hebrew. I didn't know when we set ourselves up here. Next year we'll know better.

Maor, things keep happening that change the speaking schedule, but I'm going to put it up soon anyways. I'll let everyone know once it's up.

The Wordpress pool party and JBNF will conflict and there is heavy traffic at that hour. Could we encourage JBNF to move their venue this once from Nefesh Benefesh to a room in the Jerusalem College of Technology (since Wordpress will finish at 5 and JBNF starts at 5:45). Will save wear and tear on attendees. Also some don't have cars.

Few people realize what tremendous efforts go into organizing a conference. Having done several, I have all the more respect for Miriam and her amazing team. WordCamp 2010 was a huge success because you could feel their tremendous efforts in so many ways. Matt was a delight; Oren was so impressive and gave me great hopes for Israel's future developers! All in all, an amazing day. JCT was a gracious host and we should all be so grateful to them for their part in making WordCamp 2010 amazing!

I had a great time at WordCamp Jerusalem! The speakers were great and the people had good energy. I know there were issues (like ridiculous internet access) but I hope the good outweighed the bad for everyone. And of course thanks to Matt Mullenweg for making the effort to come. He was amazing, and made the event. Next year in Jerusalem! (Or Tel Aviv.)
  • Avigail Frij
Wow! I enjoyed all of the speakers I heard and learned a lot. Had fun too. Miriam and her crew are great! Many confirmed my choice to use WordPress as my preferred web development CMS and not just for bloging. I will really look forward to the next one! I really hope the presentations will be available online. Look forward to this being announced.
  • Shakhar Pelled
First, I would like to really thank Miriam for this amazing event. It was just great. The thing I sort of missed was learning from other Wordpressers (or Wordpressees). All lectures were frontal, they were good, but somehow it felt strange sitting there passively, while the whole charm of open source is that you can do it yourself. I really missed learning from other people. So I thought to suggest that perhaps in future gatherings there could be some kind of sharing at the grassroots level. For example, groups of 20 people, where each member has 4 minutes to give the others tips from his/her practice and knowledge of Wordpress. There was so much knowledge in those lecture halls that just couldn't find expression. Perhaps, instead of lecturers, you could have a sort of open-source gathering wherein each participant prepares a 4-5 minute presentation and shares something with the others. That way we could both learn from each other and get to know each other.
  • Rochelle Treister
Loved it! Thanks, Miriam, for putting together a great experience. The speakers were excellent and knowledgable. The facility was just the right size. And getting Matt was a coup!
  • Valery Gumush
Perfect meetup! Interesting and useful Thanks a lot!
  • Ofer Wald
    Great event, really enjoyed
  • Jez Lerman
I picked up new insights, a bundle of resources and a couple of networking interests. On a personal level, the day was a success. Thank you! However, having spoken to a couple of non-programmers attending Wordcamp, their needs as end-users were simply not catered for. For example, Barry's "High Performance" lecture went right over these guys heads, leaving them well frustrated. Again, this is from the mouths of typical Wordpress END-USERS who have no interest whatsoever in programming. I, meanwhile, really enjoyed the day. Kudos to Miriam for organizing the event, the food, and the New Year goody-bag was a nice touch; much appreciate the thoughtfulness behind the event. Hag Sameach to us all, Jez Lerman
  • Nathan Meloul
AMAZING!!! Matt was really great. So was Oren. It was really inspiring. I recommend coming next time!
  • Elliott Smith
Not being fluent in Hebrew yet, I had difficulty all around. Also, I came as a rank beginner - a mere blogger - and found much of it too technical. That's not your fault though, I'm just not up on all the jargon. It was super organized and so many thanks to everyone involved and special appreciation to the sponsors; the food was great! Fascinating people. Thanks.
  • Debi Zylbermann
Very well organized, lots of interesting lectures. I came out of the afternoon sessions, in particular, with a lot of useful information. Suggestion for next time - have people reply with which presentations they will probably go to, so that you can estimate which sessions need the large room, and there is no need to move rooms so much.
  • Tamir Cohen
Most of the lectures were practical and interesting. I'll come again. Thanks - Miriam, Tal!
  • Danny Dulberg
    Was great on all aspects!
  • Tammy Shilo
Most of the lectures were good, but 45 min are too short.
  • Ronen Hadas
Amazing. One of the best conferences I've been to recently (and I go to a lot of them). It was well organized; the subjects were very relevant, with a good mixture of information for both beginners and advanced users. I have learnt a lot.
  • Sari Holtz
The first session didn't offer a broad enough spectrum - for example, beginner WP people who didn't want Hebrew wordpress were stuck.
  • Tal Galili
Wonderful conference. Mostly good speakers. The audience was the best, very interesting to share experiences and ideas with. Looking forward to the next meetup! Tal
  • Tamar Wisemon
High level attendees. The web-to-mobile presentation was excellent. Matt's was very entertaining. Prior sign-up to sessions would have avoided much of the room-changing, but that's a small quibble since the rooms were next door to each other.
  • Lynda Leah Laker
Kol Hakavod for having organized and providing this wonderful opportunity. I especially enjoyed the last 2 presentations from Matt and D. Cohen. The other presentations in English were more technical and more difficult to understand. I hope that in the future you will be able to have an English speaker's track that will have more of a publisher's perspective as well as the developer's perspective. Although my Ivrit is improving it's not at the level of learning new technical material.. I know how my son feels in having to learn and write bagrut in a language that he is still learning. Perhaps, having experienced the first WordCamp there will be others who are encouraged to share their ideas and experiences in developing their WordPress blogs and websites. Also, it might help logistics if participants could sign up for presentations ahead of time.

Great wordcamp - excellent organization and speakers waiting for wordcamp 2011! Dan

Kudos to WordCamp Jerusalem for not only tapping into some of the best local WordPress talent, but also the web design community. And it was pretty neat meeting Matt Mullenweg too.
  • Eyal Hazan
I have learned many new things.
  • Sharon Gefen
I had fun! Interesting speakers, plenty of time for mingling.
  • David Sigal
Well organized event, took good advantage of available auditoriums, well planned and scheduled talks. Though I would prefer 1 English talk per time slot if possible.
  • Yehuda Levy
Interesting talks, great speakers (Matt was a killer), very nice people, good organization - overall excellent experience. Thanks Miriam, and see you next year in Tel Aviv ;)
  • Adam Groffman
Thank you for the free food, snacks & swag. There were some really good speakers, and some less so, but overall it was good. And thanks for having at least one English speaker per session!
  • Oren Izmirli
I've enjoyed the conference, especially the advanced track and the speakers from automattic. BTW, an article about WordPress and this WordCamp was posted today at nana10: http://net....
  • Sophia Frij
Miriam, Rebecca, and all helpers speakers and sponsors, the camp was AMAZING!!!! I learned SO MUCH! and enjoyed every minute! Matt & all WP developers: thanks for WordPress, it's a great creation Lots of luck to everyone Have a great year!!!
  • Sarah Pritzker
I actually left early. it was very technical and I guess I assumed that the beginner level would be a bit simpler. I suppose the publisher courses wouldn't been better for me, but often they were in hebrew -- which also didn't work for me. not your fault.
  • hadas nevenzal
it was a great camp! I leram a lot and had lot of fun and even now have my own wordpress site... thank you very much!
  • Yaffa Bernstein
I loved the class on launching a new product. Felt the conference was extremely well organized, enjoyed hearing Matt Mullenwag speak, Yasher Koach and Kol Hakavod to Miriam and staff for organizing this!
