Responsible WordPress Home Ownership & 5 Ways Envato Surprised me

After a sabbatical WordPress Brisbane Meetup is back.

6.00 Doors Open, Pre-Meetup Networking.
6.30 Two information packed talks.
8.00 Networking at the Era Bistro/Bar. (We might finish up earlier depending on talks & Q/A!)

We'll be kickstarting the Meetup with a welcome and a great presentation from  Dee Teal AKA The Web Princess, who is visiting to present at the ProBloggers conference. Then we'll get a unique insight into the inner workings of Envato by new team member Stephen Cronin.

Dee Teal

Dee will be covering Responsible Digital/Wordpress Home Ownership, great information for all those who run a WordPress site for business or clients.

• Insurance (backups)

• maintenance (updates, broken link checks)

• security

• pest control (spam/malware)

• efficiency (performance)

Stephen Cronin's Talk

5 Things about Working at Envato that Surprised me:
Stephen Cronin recently joined Envato as Quality Team Leader for ThemeForest and CodeCanyon. Like many in the WordPress community, he had preconceived ideas about Envato and their marketplaces. He will be sharing 5 things that he found surprising about Envato once he was on the inside.

About Stephen
Stephen Cronin is the Quality Team Leader for ThemeForest and CodeCanyon. He's been developing WordPress plugins since 2007 and has spoken at several WordCamps.

Numbers have filled. Please ensure that if you are not able to attend that you remove yourself from the attending list so other people can fill your position.

We'll be heading down to the Era Bistro/Bar for post meetup networking drinks.

Sorry guys, made other arrangements when I stayed on the waitlist for so long so now unable to attend. Hope to make it to the next one.

I've just bumped the RSVP limit to 50, however, if you're unable to make it PLEASE change your RSVP.

Unfortunately we're only going to have 40 seats, so I'm counting on a few of us standing or being unable to make it at the last minute - Don't let this turn you off coming, it should be a great evening, I just don't want to end up with empty seats!

I'm so keen to go and disappointed that I made it to the wait list. I work on WordPress and use mostly Themeforest every day for clients. Will make sure I reply and RSVP quicker for the next meetup. This months topic sounds epic and would love the opportunity to go.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
