Getting the dates in order for the year. The April meetup has been scheduled - and the organisational details will come!
Morgan Leetham will giving us a demo on how to Backup your WordPress Website using couple of different tools including:
Lightning Talks
I'm going to attempt to explain the WordPress Loop - and why it is so important in theme development & customisation.
We are looking for others to do lightning talks for the evening - short 5 to 10 minutes presentations on a topic. It doesn't have to be WordPress specific, it could be around a challenge you've had building a website or using the interface that you overcame - we would love to hear about it.
Please email your topics to [masked] so we can arrange the schedule for the night.
Pizza's and nibblies, along with Tea & Coffee will be provided - all we need is your company to make the evening a success.
The Hartley Life Care facilities are awesome. The room costs us $80 a night, so if you if you could make a small donation on the night to offset the organizers costs, we would be most appreciative!
See you there!

Hi All,
Peter (http://www.wpcanberra.com.au/me...
) is looking for anyone with tips on how to add user generated content to his site e.g. "getting people to register, user forums, storing information next to a user profile e.g. when their subscription ends, pages limited to subscribers, etc."
Any takers for the meetup? Otherwise might be good for general discussion.
Cheers,
JC

More thanks for tonight.
What a great and varied group!
I look forward to meeting more of you at coming Meetups. Looks as though Chris has guaranteed something to talk about all the way through mid-2014 ;-)

David, I'm in the same boat as you, at the beginning of developing a website. Don't know about you but am mostly interested in creating pages, rather than a blog, at present.

I'm at the very early stage of developing my own personal site/blog. I'd love to go session that looked at 'best practice' and 'lessons learned' from those more experienced in WP. I've also had some experience in managing web development in another CMS, so I know the value of learning from others mistakes as much as successes. Any chance of doing this next?

Also if you have any requests for pizza toppings/types hit me up with a reply to this thread I'll be putting in an order tomorrow night.
