There was a question on the night about best options for offline development environments.

I'm not sure if the following fits the bill, but it may be worth a look. http://wpsimulator.com/

It's been developed by seouk.com and only been released in the past few weeks. It is based on the xampp environment and provides a local installation of Apache, MySQL and PHP.

They've got installations for both PC and Mac.

I found the installation on the PC to be relatively straightforward.

(While I've grabbed a copy for myself, I have no affiliations or other interests with this product apart from exploring how useful it is as an offline development tool.)

    Hope that helps someone.

    Thnks for organizing.
Like the change of format - lighting talk instead of a 30min talk.

That wp-cli talk by James actually blew my mind. Really good to hear about the auto update stuff - just really good talks the whole night as usual. See you all in October!
