Hi Mel, the email suggestions form Chris will help.
Here are a couple of more things to think about.
To see which pages are indexed by Google try this search site:liveseysmotorworks.com.au at this time, there are about 18 pages indexed.
Also when I search for this keyword "Livesey's Motor Works in Morwell" The site is on the first page. Livesey's also appears in the directory listings. But if you want your site's homepage url to rank well for "mechanic in morwell" there is a bit more SEO work to do, beginning with your keywords. What keywords do you want to rank for? Make sure they are in the title and the body of your page. Think about the home page title, are people going to search for that phrase? That's probably as far as I will go with this in public, but also read the email Chris sent too.

    HTH :)

Thanks Chris, Peter and Dee. I worked through Chris and Peter's feedback and made updates where needed. It seems that because the domain was new, all the local directory listings etc were outranking the website. Originally the Google + listing was ranking number 1 but it didn't include a link to the website. I claimed the listing and added the URl plus a description. Now the website (with a link to the Google + page underneath) ranks at the top. There is no meta description yet but I'm hoping either the G+ description, or the meta description once the website is re-indexed, will be added soon.

Whoops, pressed enter before I was finished. I thought I'd share this in case the Google + page information is helpful for other people who are having issues with a new website. Regards Mel

    Hi WordPress SEO peeps,

I'm wondering if anyone can help me resolve an issue with a clients website that uses the Executive Studiopress theme. The site http://liveseysmotorworks.com.au/ has been live for months but only one page (engine rebuilds) has been indexed by Google.

The SEO settings look ok to me but we must be missing something.

    All help appreciated.
    Thanks
    Mel

Great night, thanks to all involved.
I had decided when it would be time go if I was off the waitlist to just head to see what could be seen, and found there was room for me too.
The information provided was jsut what I needed, and at a pace that I made good enough notes. It will be great to check when the Presentations page is available.
Delighted to meet plenty of very positive people that I want to keep contacy with.
It was also fascinating to see the venue, and I I can seee me using it from time to time.
Don't need a tough Austrian voice to say "I'll be back!"

I found your talk very informative and receptive. I think WordPress will go from success to success. What I like about new technology in the 21stC is it is about people and humanity. Do you have online forums to discuss works in progress? My background is art and film, though I did teach Digital Assets Management at a Masters level for awhile. Like many of you I am dedicated to Social Enterprise. Glad I joined this group. You guys and gals are cool.

    im coming!

    October 7, 2013

  • Max

OK - definitely gonna try to get to this one ... I have to drive as I'm coming from Olinda (big hill with the antennas on it east of Melbourne) and wonder where there's reasonable parking around Inspire9, as it's probably the only co-work place in Melbourne I haven't been to yet ... so any suggestions on reasonable car parking from 6ish???

    September 26, 2013

    • James C.

Hi Max, there's usually some spaces available on Stewart St (right in front of i9). It's 2 hour parking during the day, but no time limit after 5pm.
