Writing, Scheduling and Sharing Your Content
Committing to a blog can be hard work. Writing post after post all the time is tough. Most of us can't write daily or once every few days or once a week on the same topic all the time. Thinking up that many words that frequently is a real challenge for non-writers (and sometimes even the writers)
If you want more people coming your way, you need to limit the distractions and simplify your approach. This meetup will cover topics to show you how using WordPress can make the content creation process easier, effective and easily sharable.

Lightning Talks - WordPress 4.0 Changes, Post Editing Schedule and making the most of your posts and content - The User Group Hosting Crew (Chris Burgess and Amelia Briscoe)
WordPress 4.0 was released last week that brought some nice changes to the way we can write and edit content. Chris Burgess (@chrisburgess) will take a walk through the different changes that will help you get the hang of the new editor features.
Once you have the 'content conveyor belt' humming along, you'll want to get more people seeing your best content more often. Amelia Briscoe (@amelia_briscoe) will cover some useful tips for getting the most out of the content you have published and how to create effective 'landing pages' for your posts.
7:40pm - 8:10pm - Presentation #2
Setting-up an automated process for updating social accounts as you create content with WordPress. - James Bundey (@jamesbundey)
After spending your time creating that beautifully structured post, you'll want to share it with people who are going to appreciate the ideas and solutions you have to offer. The best way to get yourself heard is by sharing your content in social media. But managing multiple accounts and posting to different social networks can be a bit tricky to manage.
James is going to show us how to streamline the sharing process in WordPress with a process he has been working on using Zapier & Buffer.
About James: I've worked in various marketing roles for over 18 years. For the past 5+ years I've been one half of small marketing agency called Creative Approach. We work with businesses to help them develop digital marketing strategies, online branding, websites, comms strategy etc.
8.15pm - 8.30pm: Open Discussion / Q&A
8:30pm - Wrap up
We'll then head to the nearby Post Office Hotel for drinks.
