jQuery explained

Part 1: Today we'll cover the fundamentals of using jQuery on a simple webpage, and how it relates to using plain old javascript.

Priya Seth will also make a presentation of jQuery examples.

Part 2: October 2nd - How to apply jQuery to WordPress CMS. For example, you can see how jQuery is currently being used in WordPress if you look near the end of the HTML source code of the home page delivered using the TwentyFourteen theme. You'll see that there are three .js files called. One of those files contains a function which dynamically enables the menu toggle for small screens, making the page responsive. We'll explain how jQuery helps accomplish that.
