Let's face it, SEO and WordPress is an old topic. Basic SEO has been presented at countless WordCamps and Meetups (including WP Westchester!), and most of us know how to install and use WordPress SEO plug-ins, like WP SEO (also known as Yoast) and All-In-One SEO.
So what's next? What do we do after the basic SEO proceedures, like install SEO plugins?
We are fortunate to have Alex Miranda of PR Underground and head of SEO at Marknet Group to show us the way.
Alex is among the best WordPress presenters that I have seen, and I am not the only one who likes Alex. Those who have attended his presentations at WordCamp NYC have voted his "Google Loves WordPress" presentation to be among the best. Last year, his SEO presentation at WordPress Westchester was among the best attended.
The presentation outline below:
Summary: Your website is now on WordPress. You installed the proper SEO plugins. Your website is search engine optimized. But wait.....No traffic, No Conversions and worst of all no sales.
After the initial SEO implementation website owners are always extremely happy to see their website ranking well for all the search terms. The next step is where the fail usually happens...You stop your on page and off page optimization. A few months later come the zero conversions, zero sales and a drop in rankings.
SEO is long term...Period. It's not just about rankings. Good SEO whether it's on page or off page must translate to conversions and sales.
We will cover:
- Are the SEO pieces in place?
- Traditional & Online Public Relations
- Search Engine Marketing
- Email Marketing
