Wordpress Westchester Meetup

Due to a scheduling conflict, we have to change the meetup from Tuesday, Feb. 16th to Wednesday, Feb. 24th. Sorry for the last minute switch.

The next Wordpress Westchester Meetup will take place on Wednesday, February 24th at the offices of the Journal News, 1 Gannett Drive, in White Plains NY.

The agenda for the next Meetup will be as follows:

6:30 pm to 7:00 pm - Meet and Greet
7:00 pm to 7:30 pm - Presentation on the anatomy of a Wordpress Theme. Where to get free, paid and custom themes.
7:30 pm to 8:00 pm - Q&A on Theming
8:00 pm to 9:00 pm - Q&A for Beginners

We learned during last month's presentation that questions during the presentation would extend the length of the presentation to over an hour. This month, we will refrain from answering questions during the presentation portion. All questions should be asked after the presentation, during the Q&A.

The Journal News offices are located at the very top of the Gannet Drive office park just off Northern Westchester Avenue. As you drive up the office park, you will see are large "1" and the back of the building. Keeping the building on your right, drive past the building and around to the front Visitors parking area. Please check Mapquest for directions to the building from 287, 684 or the Hutch/Merritt Pkwys.

This second meeting went much more smoothly because the organizers, Tony and Jeff, adhered to their agenda. The presentation came first and all questions were held to the end. They continue to be very generous with information. Thanks.

I knew nothing about how a wordpress theme worked and even though I had to leave early, I feel Anthony conveyed this in easy to understand examples.
