Introduction
I have always been an avid reader and thought "Devil in the White City" was wonderful. For some time I have considered joining a book group and this might be the time. To combine this interest with my love of wine, what a winning combination!
What type of books do you enjoy?
Like - Sue Grafton, James Michener. Historical fictions. Like the contemporary fictions. No political espionage. Like Biographies. One goal is to read the Oprah Winfrey list (!)
Tell us a little about yourself:
Self employed accountant. Just moved back to Dallas from Arlington after 13 years. Really love Central Dallas area. Grew up in Waco, schooled in Austin and have worked in San Antonio.
What do you want to see happen in this book/social club?
I have been out of the social loop being in Arlington and really would like an opportunity to get my feet wet again. Not looking for a "dating" opportunities per se. Just looking for ways to get my "verbal" skills back.
What was your favorite book as a kid?
Our house was full of books. Mother collected all the Pulitzer Prize fiction winners. "Children of Sanchez" was a fav.
Do you have a quote or motto that best descibes you and your life?
Begin each day with laughter.
