What type of books do you enjoy?

You mean besides the trash mysteries??

Tell us a little about yourself:

I moved to Dallas in 1991 from North Carolina and before that southern California. I am a teacher, researcher, scientist, vegetarian, and sometimes a hiker & backpacker. I've been known to make a mean tiramisu.

What do you want to see happen in this book/social club?

I'm looking forward to expanding my appreciation especially of newer literature. My non-professional reading has slacked off way too much.

What was your favorite book as a kid?

Wind in the Willows.

Do you have a quote or motto that best descibes you and your life?

You can live to be a hundred if you give up all the things that make you want to live to be a hundred.

Hi. My name is Tim. So this seems like a wonderful group. I'm looking forward to branching out from trash mysteries and rot-gut whiskey.

What Tim S is saying about this Meetup Group

Completely fun.
