I just moved to Dallas and am looking to find people who like to read and can give their opinion about it. Sounds simple really but those folks can sometimes be hard to find. Wine is a bonus! Spending time in Cali made me appreciate a nice Cab.
Fiction mostly but not usually sci-fi. Day of the Triffids (Books not movie), My Antonia (my fave), 1984, Brave New World, East of Eden, etc. I also will admit I enjoy Chuck Palahnuik books.
Jack of all trades - Traveler, adventurer, artist, sportswoman (I can bullwhip), linguist (arabic and spanish), scientist (Neuroscience MS) but alas, master of none.
Open up suggestions about new books to read that just came out and old goodies that I may have missed. Also, I'd like a nice conversation about the books with different viewpoints.
Don't remember much from when I was a kid - Agatha Christy's And Then There Was None and Charlotte's Web are the two that stand out.
The world is my oyster!
Great group of folks and, so far, wonderful book selections.
