Very eclectic tastes and hard to characterize without just listing books. Enjoy many types of non-fiction and for fiction I generally look for things that gain some acclaim. It's hard for me to hang on if it's not really well written.
I have always enjoyed being outdoors and have sort of rediscovered that over the past year. I'm probably happiest when moving - hiking, cycling, kayaking, etc. When indoors I'm usually reading or writing when I'm not working.
I'll give it a try before I start making suggestions!
Very hard to pick a single favorite - East of Eden by Steinbeck was very high on the list, but so were Moby Dick and pretty much everything by Twain, Tolkien, Bradbury and Asimov.
"Without friends no man would choose to live, though he had all other goods." - Aristotle
Love to read, love to write, love red wine, love good food and the location for my first meetup with this group was directly across the street from where I live. How could I not give it a try?
