Eclectic taste in fiction, from 'literary' to a good juicy murder mystery or historical fiction. On my bedside table now: Sacre Bleu by Christopher Moore, Chronice of a Death Foretold by Garbriel Garcia Marquez.
I work in Marketing/PR in the healthcare arena, have two grown children, two coddled cats, and am interested in making new friends in Dallas. Moved here from Tyler in March, but I'm a citizen of the world. I've lived on East Coast, West Coast, Southwest US and in Germany. I like to read (a lot!), walk (Katy Trail is my new hangout), go to movies & plays, enjoy music, art museums, adventures and travel.
I hope to meet interesting, intelligent and curious people who enjoy books and talking about them, sharing ideas, and making friends. A glass of wine or a cup of coffee will add flavor to the evening!
I read everything from Nancy Drew mysteries to Tom Sawyer & Huck Finn. I loved all the Walter Farley series and comic books!
Anyone who stops learning is old, whether twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing you can do is keep your mind young. _Mark Twain
New to Dallas and excited to find other book-lovers who share my addiction to fiction. This sounds like a wonderful way to meet new & interesting people.
