Introduction
Love a great book and great conversation! I haven't been reading as much I would like to, and I hope the group gets me back into it.
What type of books do you enjoy?
Recently read Einstein's biography, Left to Tell (account of the Rwandan genocide). Previously, I read more classics and fiction, it seems more recently it has been non-fiction. I think I would enjoy both.
Tell us a little about yourself:
I'm an emergency physician and a single mom -- thus the lack of reading for leisure -- I stay pretty busy but I know I can read a book and enjoy it!
What do you want to see happen in this book/social club?
Vibrant discussions about all the ideas and emotions a good book evokes
What was your favorite book as a kid?
Great Expectations, Great Gatsby, Sound and the Fury, Lord Jim, The Outsiders, and others
