Looking to socialize both you and your kids, but work keep you too busy during the week? Join us for some evening and weekend activities that range from at-home play dates to local outings. Kids range from newborn to elementary school (0-9 years), and we enjoy trips to the zoo, museums, fairs, libraries, and special local events.
Our play group has been around for a little more than three years. After running the group for a year on Meetup and attracting a lot of members (up to 150) but not participants, the group has been redesigned to include a one-time $10.00 membership fee due before you can access the group. This ensures that you are serious about participating. As a result, we have attracted a great group of families who participate often and have become friends. Submit your request to join and then use PayPal to send payment to firstname.lastname@example.org or send an email to request a street address for paying by check.
Please be aware that members are expected to manage their RSVPs. Anyone who no-shows to two events will be banned from the group (barring a really good excuse) with no membership fee refund.
We hope to reach out to new families challenged with socializing both parents and kids due to work. That doesn't mean we're only open to parents who work, but it does mean most of our events are scheduled in the evenings and on weekends. Our stay-at-home spouses and second-shifters can look for events labeled "SS" for daytime activities.
See pictures, access our resources, and learn more about our group at our website. NOTE: Since we now have this Meetup.com site, we have revised the webpage to have events posted here.
