Working Moms are unsung heroes. They balance work, family, friends and community involvement on an every day basis, but often times the last person on their priority list is themselves. That's why Working Women of Tampa Bay is creating a support system for these moms by hosting a Working Moms Roundtable once a month at On Point Executive Center on Rocky Point.

During this moderated discussion, Working Moms will be able to share their successes and challenges in a comfortable, intimate environment with other moms just like them! Light breakfast will be served.

This month's topic: Positive Approaches to Discipline for the Working Mom. We will discuss current child rearing challenges, what current discipline methods are used and their effectiveness, we will learn how different parenting styles invite in different behaviors, we will discuss the difference between true discipline and punishment. Paige Michaelis will share many tools to use to invite cooperation and mutual respect from children.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
