Introduction

Hi! I have been a member of Meetup since 2006. I'm quirky and comedic but recognize when its time for business. I was actually really excited to find out Meetup was hiring. Just sent in my application materials!

Please note: If you do not answer all the questions below, your membership will be declined. If you have a question regarding the Meetup site, email support@meetup.com. We're unable to provide site support through this group. (write "ok" to proceed)

ok

All of our jobs are located in our New York City headquarters. Can you and do you want to work in NYC?

Yes - I currently live and work in New York City, and have no intention to leave anytime soon.

Which posted job are you interested in? (click on the "Careers" link at the bottom of the page to see what's available)

My job of interest is "Community Specialist."

What is your area of expertise and why are you interested in working at Meetup?

I've had a rich experience working in different job fields. The common thread through all this is my ability to communicate with different people, and I am goal-oriented, working through tasks as they arise, as well as prioritizing the new with the old. I'm flexible and a jack (jill) of all trades, and would really look forward to being a part of the meetup team- it seems like such a great environment, and everyone unites for the common goal of serving the community.

Have you submitted your cover letter and resume? If not, please do so now to be considered for membership to this group. If your screen name and your real name are different, please put your real name here so that we can find your resume. Thanks!

Yes, my materials are submitted. To avoid any confusion, my name is Camille Shandle. Thank you!

Hi Camille. Well, I hope to start having bi-weekly Portuguese translation study starting in March. So, I hope you will be able to come for that. In the meantime, why don't you come and meet some of the new members at the Monthly Workshop this Sunday? It should be really informative and a good networking opportunity.

Hi, Camille! Welcome to the Translation Study Group! It seems like a lot of Portuguse speakers are signing up; hopefully we'll be able to get a study group started for that soon... In the meantime, I look forward to seeing you at the upcoming Meet & Greet, and Spanish translation study meetings. :)
