This group is an experiment.

This group was inspired by a friend's use of her mascots to document her overseas trip and then some of her hiking in the Bay Area Ridge Trail & More group. It added a humor and a personalization to her trips that is very fun and interesting. I would like to replicate and experiment with this idea with the creation of this group.

So then, the purpose of this group is to bring out the innocent or child in us, as we hike or travel, through the persona of a mascot. This group will mainly be both a shadow group of the "BART & More" and the "HATs & More" group but also its own group for there will be "WAHM! & More" only hikes that the other two will not know about.

For members who want to document their mascot's adventures through other groups or personal journeys you can do it in one of three ways:  One, you can post a link to the event and or your pictures from sites like flicker or google.  Or, Two, if you are regular mascot hiker I can make you an event coordinator and you can post the event and therefore load photos post-event. Or Three, anyone can suggest an Event and if three or more are attending it gets announced automatically for others to join.  I will change this option if its gets abused.

So if you have a small travel mascot (preferable a soft furry one) and you like hiking or travel then you should join us. But people who don't hike are also welcome if you just like following the adventures of some of the mascots.  THE GROUP'S LOCATION WILL BE FLUCTUATING FROM SAN FRANCISCO TO HOUSTON OR ANYWHERE WHERE MASCOTS MAY BE. AND SO PEOPLE WHO JOIN CAN BE FROM ANYWHERE.

 

Rules For now:

1. Hiking/travel photos must have mascots and usually as main subject of photos.

2. Keep pictures to less than ~40 per event.

3. REMEMBER THIS IS A MASCOT OR MASCOT FAN GROUP.  SO YOU JOINED BECAUSE YOU EITHER HAVE A MASCOT OR LIKE FOLLOWING ADVENTURES OF MASCOTS.
