For those of us who'd like to see a little of Kearny (unexciting but quaint, in a "Last Picture Show" sort of way), let's meet by 3:30 at the 33rd St. PATH terminal, outside the turnstiles. (It's possible that I haven't met one member of our party, but I look just like my photo on the site, I'm told.) Trains leave about every 10 minutes; it's about 45 minutes to Harrison, all told. From there we'll walk the little-more-than-a-mile up the main drag toward Kearny; we'll have the late afternoon light at our backs (good for photos), and perhaps we'll stop for a donut or a Brazilian pastry (see a few candidates here: http://www.flickr.com... ).
On the way up, we'll also make a note of the schedules for the buses that run back down that main drag toward the PATH station. The more direct PATH train will head to the World Trade Center, or folks can transfer at Journal Square in Jersey City to return to 33rd St.
