I eat, write, and shoot photos for www.EatingInTranslation.com, my website on interesting and (usually) inexpensive food in and around New York.
Aleut (unless I have to harpoon my own), Ugandan, and something foraged in shallow water off a South Pacific island.
At the moment: Southern Italian, traditional New England, and maybe a burger or two.
Thank you, Dave, for a lovely first jaunt with the group. For me, the food wasn't the best (too much meat products used in that cooking) but it was interesting to know of places I can return to eat the stuff I like (like the Malaysian place). I admire your knowledge of all these places and your willingness to share it with us.
SUCH a good job organizing! keeping us on track to place and time, guiding us thru the menu. your next gig willl not come soon enough. w/w! =t
You are totally FAB!! Thanks again, Sandy
Hey Dave, been meaning to get back involved. You're doing a great job on this and your website!
It was good getting together with you again @ Loreley last night. Thanks for guiding Cheryl and I through the menu. Sharing was definitely the way to go!
Dave really knows his NYC-area restaurants! Be sure to check his blog at newyorkfood.typepad.com for great reviews and fascinating write-ups of different ethnic food areas.
