Introduction

My website Eating In Translation contains field notes, in word and image, on thousands of interesting restaurants, cafés, street carts, festivals, and what-have-you in New York and, occasionally, farther afield.

What three cuisines do you most want to try for the first time?

Aleut (unless I have to harpoon my own), Ugandan, and something foraged in shallow water off a South Pacific island.

Other than the food you grew up with, what are your three favorite cuisines?

At the moment: Southern Italian, traditional New England, and maybe a burger or two.
