Fluid Transitions Workshop and DVD Release Celebration with Sara Beaman!

This workshop is designed to help advanced beginners and up learn to perform smooth, effortless sequences of movement, and will cover transitions for stationary movements. We’ll learn techniques, visualizations and drills for all kinds of standing transitions. The short combinations we’ll cover in this workshop can serve as flowing drills as well as building blocks for longer combinations, choreography, and improvisation.

Each student will receive personal feedback and a plan for how to incorporate the workshop content into their daily practice.

Workshop participants should be at least somewhat familiar with the following movements: undulations, taxeem, maya, ami, chest circles, and snake arms.

Sara’s new Fluid Transitions DVD will be available for purchase at this event! The DVD covers the same combinations taught at the workshop, plus some bonus material. Workshop participants can purchase a DVD for only $15–five dollars less than the list price on Amazon.
“Loved this workshop. I was really looking forward to this because transitions can be a bit tricky. We were able to get lots of individual feedback. Left with plenty of moves and ideas to work on. Loved that this was not a choreography class where you lose half of what you are shown.” -Azadi from Torque/Twisted Dance Studios
Fee: $30 in advance, $40 at the door
A minimum of 4 preregistered students is required in order to run this workshop.

I really learned a lot. Sara's explanations helped make the moves less intimidating.
