We are a FUN group of Austin residents (Newcomers or natives, single or married) who share a passion for world cultures and international travel.

Some of us have lived overseas (or are planning to live abroad) who want to share their knowledge & experiences with others who understand how a foreign assignment or overseas living experience can change their lives!

We are also Expats from other countries with various ethnic backgrounds, religions, vocations and avocations, but who share an interest in learning more about other cultures and each other.

We strive to meet in various locations (north, south, east, west, within the city), at different times and days, so everyone would have a chance to join in.

Our activities include: international dining, international cooking parties, hiking, international ballroom dances, international karaoke, language classes & exchanges, foreign movies, day trips, weekends trips, domestic & international travel...etc.   

We also meet to inform or discuss cross cultural behaviors, social systems, economies tc. Unlike the norm, at AWTE, we encourage to discuss anything including politics and religions...etc., as long as we remain objectives and agree to disagree at times : We would have a FUN intellectual discussion.
