Ethiopia is often equated with famine but it is a land of haunting biblical landscapes, beautiful people and exotic birds and animals. Legendary names that live on in this ancient country are: the Kingdom of Aksum, Saint George, the Queen of Sheba and Haillie Selassie. Ethiopia still follows the Julian calendar, more than seven years behind our own Gregorian calendar.
I travel to Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia, then north to Bahir Dar on the shores of Lake Tana, source of the Blue Nile. Finally, to the Simien Mountains, land of the Gellada baboons.

The presentations will be held at the Royal Victoria Yacht Club in the Discovery Room from here on in. This will give us some consistency and a regular space without interruption. I hope you will agree $5 is very inexpensive for the 2-3 hours of quality entertainment and socializing you will have.
We'll meet and mingle, have a drink or two starting at 5:30 and expect the presentation to get started at about 6:30. There is tons of parking but please consider a cab if you are going to be drinking.
The $5 goes towards covering the cost of the room. There is also a cash bar available. Can't wait to see you there.
