If you live in the West or East ends of Toronto please give yourself at least 45 minutes of traveling time to Eglinton Subway Station. Event Info This November 1 and 2, the JCCC will again find itself at the centre of the Asian-Canadian community as we gather at 6 Garamond Court for the eighth annual Road to Asia Festival. The Road to Asia Festival 2008 is a two-day festival celebrating the richness and exciting diversity of Asian culture, all under one roof. The festival creates a thriving multicultural atmosphere in which individual cultures are highlighted through their traditional Food, Arts and Crafts, Music, Dance and Martial Arts. Last year’s festival created a rich mix of the cultures of 9 different Asian nations and was visited by approximately 3,000 people. Countries participating in 2007 included Laos, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, China, Sri Lanka, India, Taiwan, and, of course, Japan. This year we hope to add to the communities represented in the festival. This festival takes the JCCC’s motto of “Friendship Through Culture” to a whole new level. Please keep an eye out for more information in the October issue and plan to join us for another exciting trip along the Road to Asia. Admission: I am not sure if it's FREE, but if the JCCC charge a fee it'll be around $4 - $5. Where we're going JCCC (Japanese Canadian Culture Centre) 6 Garamond Court North York, ON M3C 1Z5 TO ALL DRIVERS If you're driving directly the the JCCC please be in the front entrance around 2:30 pm. I will have Meetup sign once we arrive the JCCC entrance. We will not wait for any drivers to show up, once we there we will go inside immediately. If you missed us at the entrance look for us inside. Parking will be limited, first come first serve and it's FREE. If you get there early just tour by yourself and and wait for us at 2:30pm outside the entrance. Please note that the group will arrive at an estimated time @ 2:30pm, it's hard to give the exact time when we're taking the bus. We'll arrive between 2:30pm - 2:45pm.
