As a scholar of Turkish music, musical and socio- political history, Latif Bolat educates, while moving and entertaining his audience with his musicianship. Attab Haddad is an Oud soloist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer based in London, UK. Born in the UK to Iraqi parents, he studied the Oud, the Middle Eastern lute, with masters of the instrument in the London and Cairo (Ahmed Mukhtar in London, Naseer Shamma and Nihad El Sayed in Cairo). Although classically trained, his compositions are more about exploring the possibilities of the Oud and reflect an interest in music that goes beyond one tradition.
