Watch the skies together

This is a symbolic event for this group exclusively. We ask our members to take a picture of the night sky tommorow and share it on this page. Everyone is welcome to share their story and meet us throughout our planet. It is a small celebration we will have every month soforth.

    Hey everyone!
Just want to notify you all about the fact that I will be doing a regular Public Astronomy event every Tuesday evening begining at sundown over at Unity Church at Craycroft and River area, upper parking lot begining in February.
I will bring at least one of my large telescopes to view, close up and personal, whatever is in the sky for the evening. On Tuesday, February 5th, sundown will be at 5:55pm and we will be viewing Jupiter, Serius and Betelgeuse, Betta Orionis, the Pleiades, M-79, M-42 and the Andromeda Galaxy amoung other things.
My plan is to be set up and runing an hour before sundown for a "Solar program" as well.
Bring your own camp chair and apropriate night clothing and something to munch on and drink.
Also, we will be discussing UFO's, life in the Universe and this sort of thing at each event.
There is a suggested 5 $ donnation of which half goes to the church.
I am a professional public astronomer and work up at Kitt Peak.
    Life is looking up!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
