Meetup 83

Hi guys,

First of all, a big thank you to all those people from Write Club who braved the rain and turned up to the book launch. Saw some old faces too, which was nice. Didn't have much time to socialize on a personal basis, so I must apologize if it seemed like I was ignoring you. I wasn't; just had too many things pulling me in too many directions. Regardless, (I think) we all had a good time.

Back to business. Last week I hosted a session on setting on mood-setter. I will upload the slides to The Writer's Mentor sometime today. Those of you who haven't heard of this place before can download some of Write Club's archived material.

This week Param is doing his first session. He has been with us for a while now, and though he's by no means regular (not many of our members are), he keeps coming back which means at least some part of him likes us. He's never hosted a session, though, which is a shame because he has so much artistic blood in him. But better late than never.

To all new-comers to the club: welcome! Come over to Salmon Leap and experience the soothing air-conditioning, the crispy chips, the hot tea...and if the mood takes you, join us in our writing efforts. Directions to the place are given at the top of this page. If you still get lost, the number to call is[masked] and the person to ask for is Sharath.

Param! It was an EXPERIENCE! You set a wonderful mood to the club today. We were all so relaxed. Eulogy! It was emotional for me. Swetha's piece touched me and I had tears in my eyes. It was so touching! A sentimental fool's day outt! I had never explored it from that angle ever. The thoughts were just fab! FAB! I wish my words could jump like me! Wooow! A session that sparked off some many discussions! And the hang out post that! Since we often share our stuff... I would like to share a piece about my grandma with you guys. :)

Param, today's session was amazing. It was one of the most difficult pieces I have ever wrote and it shook me emotionally. Thank you so much for the experience... Looking forward to the Sex part of it :P ;)

Hey guys, I've been getting a lot of praise for today's session, I just wanted to quickly mention that today was actually a great session because a lot of the writers were brave enough to write about some very personal and very moving stories that were really very loving. Everyone today really brought it to life!

So, I'll be missing out on one more meetup. This is a fourth in a row and I believe it'll be just two more. Hope to be back after that.
