Sorry, there was a lot of confusion last week on who should host. Our 'original' host, Shreyasi, fell sick, and so did our stand-in host (me), so we had to run about on Saturday morning looking for someone who can step in and do us a favour. Thankfully Satpal obliged. So if he really sucked, you now at least know why. Thanks, Satpal. Owe you a coffee - or maybe a strawberry blush?
So this week we'll just go with Shreyasi and hope that she doesn't fall sick twice in two weeks. I won't repeat the nice things I said about her last week; if you really want to know, go ahead and read up last week's notice. It's hard enough being nice to people once.
Now people have been talking about our hundredth meetup, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. It's still one whole week away. Anything can happen between now and then. (As you can see, at Write Club we practice a strict philosophy of extreme pessimism. And then we defend it by calling ourselves realists.)
All you first-timers: a very warm welcome to all of you at Salmon Leap. If you like writing, reading and meeting some nice people - all of which you can do for free at Write Club - then this is the place to be. Directions to the place are given at the top of the page. If you still get lost, give me (Sharath) a call on[masked] and I will guide you.
