Last Saturday we had a nice session on historical fiction. Nikita did a great job explaining the concept to us, and the exercises were chosen just well enough to allow us to practice the form. Some nice pieces came out, though many focused more on the character than on the atmosphere.

This weekend, Aravind is back after a long time with a session. Over the three years I think he has hosted three or four sessions, which is not many, but they've gone down in folklore as some of our best. That's not to say this one won't be a dud (no pressure, Aravind!), but you can chance your arm because his record is good.
Here's a link that he wanted shared to all Write Club members: Seven Reasons Not to Write Novels - and One Reason To.
I will not be able to attend this week's session, unfortunately, because my stay in Warangal got extended due to a medical emergency (honest!). You guys make sure you have a lot of fun. And do arrange for a host for next week.
To all first-timers: welcome! Directions to the place are given at the top of the page. If you still get lost, call me (Sharath) on[masked] and I will direct you.
