Calling all Bangalore writers!

We know there are some of you out there, but writers tend to be a solitary breed and writing is often a lonely pursuit.  So how about coming together to share the process with others?  That’s the idea of Write Club Bangalore, and we hope it will be great fun, motivational and even inspirational.

The philosophy of the group is that we learn by doing and so writing regularly is one of the keys to improving as a writer.  So the group will meet weekly and will focus on writing (and giving supportive feedback) rather than just discussion.

Each meetup we will do at least one writing exercise and those who wish to can share the results with the group.  In addition during the week those members who wish to can do a piece of writing (either an ongoing or new project or another writing exercise) and share it with the group in advance of the next meetup via a dedicated online forum at www.voicesinspace.com.  We can then discuss these pieces and give feedback at the meeting.

Meetups will also touch on the problems members are having with their writing, where they wish to improve and what their goals are, so that the exercises chosen can address those issues.
