What do you want to write and why?

Having grown up as a painfully introverted child, i have always found writing to be the best way of expressing myself. Not much has changed, despite the years that have have gone by since i was a child. The hand-written letters of yesteryears have given way to blogs, short-stories, poems and even an attempt at long fiction. What remains unchanged is the passion for this particular medium of communication.

Would you be happy to do some writing exercises as part of the group? Reading out the results is optional!

Having done my masters in creative writing, i have already been exposed to writing exercises. To be honest, i found them pretty daunting initially. To write is one thing. To have a bunch to people critique it is quite another. But i have grown to understand their significance and today, i might not be in love with them but i sure have made my peace :)

Do you have a project you're working on? Would you like to bring some of your work to share with the group for feedback?

Yes, i do and i wouldn't mind some feedback on it.

Do you have any influences or favourite authors?

I do have my favourites but I am uncertain if i have been influenced majorly by any. To name just three, I am in awe of Daphne du Maurier, Susan Fletcher and Linda Gillard.
