A novel at the moment.
Volkswagen looked at the scene before him and smiled. It had taken almost two years but he had finally had his revenge. Flaming ash fell around him like snow as Volkswagen calmly turned and walked away from the wreckage. After all that plotting, in the end all it had taken was a loose bolt in the machine. When Karen had pulled the lever there was no stopping that dial as it swung up through green, yellow, orange and had finally hit red. Gears had crunched and squeeled, the air had boiled and Karen at last was out of his life. He knew the questions would come later, the inqueries and accusations, and he was ready for them. He was finally ready to tell them why.
