I took that left turn at Albuquerque
Don't tell my wife I'm there.
I can't think of a wisecrack, so no.
Hello, I've been to Writer's Blok meetings, and now I'm joining as a member. Whee!

Some people like to write in isolation. We are not those people.
Writers Blok exists to give writers an environment conducive to productivity, accountability and creative fellowship. We meet Mondays and Tuesdays, 7 - 10 pm, at 1001 18th Street in Santa Monica.
Writers Blok costs $7 for one visit. Or you can save some money and sign up for a membership: $20 to come once a week, or $30 to come as much as you want.
From 7 - 9, writers work on their own projects in a room built especially for writing: we have plenty of table space, electricity, wifi, coffee, tea, and water.
At 9 p.m., we put down the laptops (or paper) and group up. Then we chat about who we are, what we're trying to get done, and how we plan to do it. And eat chocolate.
All levels and disciplines are welcome at Writers Blok. We get screenwriters, novelists, poets, memoirists, and comedians. Some of our writers are professionals; others are just getting started.
Writers Blok is administered by Paul Shirley, author of Can I Keep My Jersey?, and Katie Savage, author of Grace in the Maybe.
