Mini Writers Conference - Two Great Speakers this September 13th...

Dennis Palumbo, Hollywood screenwriter of "My Favorite Year" and "Welcome Back Kotter," is also a Hollywood psychotherapist. He specializes in helping new and established screenwriters, directors, and novelists address creative issues. He conducts workshops on creativity and career.

Dennis still writes witty and amusing TV and film. His latest, "From Crime to Crime," has gained rave reviews:

• “Clever deduction and sly humor.” -- April Smith (author, Judas Hors).

• “A touch of Neil Simon." -- Dick Lochte (author, Croaked & Sleeping Dog.)

Palumbo says, “Writers figure things out best by writing, not by ruminating or doing more research.”

Don’t miss the sage advice from Dennis Palumbo, for new and experienced writers. Any question answered by this guy will be worth ten times the price of admission. Join us! cool

Linda Ballou has hiked, biked, kayaked, and has ridden horses and mules through more pristine country than most. She’s a seasoned world travel writer with a compelling care for all things Nature. Linda has been there, done that, and lived to write about – over and over again! love struck

Linda Ballou has written for The Los Angeles Times and a dozen other travel specialty publications. So whether you want advice on how not to tip your canoe, or what to read when curled up by the fire, you should come hear Linda speak. I look forward to hearing her answer your questions. That should be fun!

I have heard Dennis Palumbo on two occasions and can't wait to hear him again. I tell you he's the best.

I've seen the film, "My Favorite Year" five times - and that's from me, a literary agent, who rarely watches anything twice. Peter O'Toole, who plays the lead character of Alan Swann, rises to his finest and makes it a landmark film. -- Dennis Palumbo is a genius for creating him. -- And thank you Scott Sonders for being the visionary to bring us remarkable talent.

Who could forget the "sweathogs?!" I'm coming for sure - and not just because I want to meet Dennis Palumbo. (heheh) I want to be the next (female) John Travolta. I've watched every episode of "Welcome Back, Kotter" on reruns. It the original and it rocks! Hey Columbo Palumbo, you're da bomb.

Super! If you guys had a dorm and offered classes, I'd move there! Thank you.
    •  Dennis Palumbo was an entertaining and educating presenter. The presentation addressed issues that writers and all people have, which can block writing and living well. He would have received the gold metal if this were the Olympics.

Dennis Palumbo is one of the best speakers possible. I'm a publisher and have seen my share but he is informed, gentle, connects with his audience on many levels - and is simply witty and enjoyable. And thank you, Scott Sonders, for being a friend to all your sister & brother writers by bringing such quality programming and literary opportunity into our lives.
    •  Linda Ballou... not too sure. I felt she didn't open herself enough. I didn't really connect with her. She didn't hold the audience like: Dennis Palumbo... Excellent public speaker and great mind when it comes to enabling others to live within the creative space and cope with their anxiety as creatives. I was sorry he was cut short a little at the end.

Dennis is a friend so I already knew he'd be as terrific as he was, is and will so continue. It was a great crowd whose enthusiastic comments herein attest to the value of his presentation.

Dennis Palumbo is insightful, amicable, and accessible - a star speaker. And we owe a debt of gratitude to Scott Alixander Sonders for his tireless verve in cultivating our literary community. I for one say thank you.
