Be great in act, as you have been in thought ... William Shakespeare

Bill would join our meets but he's dead.  And has been for a bit.  So as much as some of us have been pushing the dead rising thing, we're not excited about experiencing it.  Regarding living and breathing items, the five-item exercise proved popular so we'll give it another go and encourage our writers to stretch their minds, play a bit with their talents.  We'll post the five items and one alternative item in a few days.  Remember, no more than 500 words and don't stress over it.  It's all about having fun with your talent.

Where is the list of five items and one alternate for tomorrow's prompt?

    April 8

    • Chet H.

Interloper, gnome, bucolic, shrunken head and karaoke. Any one of these items can be replaced with Albanian mud weasels. It's way down the list of comments from the 29th of March.

    • Kenneth T.

If you do bring print outs for us please double space, it allows us to make better notations & edits....

Didn't ask... seemed like a poor idea... I just retreived lures and remarked, "Darlin'... why, it never occurred to me to do it that way... You might be on to something."

A very nice event and extremely informative. I highly recommend to all writers to attend any other book events in the coming months.

While the selection was vast and exceeded expectations, the judges have reached a decision on the five items - and one alternative item - for the next writing exercise. And remember, no more than 500 words. Note: The Icelandic judge was removed from the panel and replaced with a judge from Estonia.

    March 29

    • Jeffrey

Interloper, gnome, bucolic, shrunken head and karaoke. Any one of these items can be replaced with Albanian mud weasels. All other words will be given our board game and automatically considered for the next round. Thank you for playing. Stay tuned for "60 Minutes."

Interloper as one of the five words for next meeting

    March 27

    • Jeffrey

We'll add it to the list for consideration. Looking into having a Icelandic judge help with the decision.

Items that don't make the cut will be saved for another round. Unlike the NCAA basketball tournament, we offer a consolation round.

Does this mean the prompt for the next meeting is the five plus one item, not the prologue?

Hey gang. Please visit Amazon.com and see Teresa's terrific short story "Eve The First." Downloaded myself last night and enjoyed the prospect of world domination from afar.
