History will be kind to me for I intend to write it

Wisdom from Sir Winston Churchill.  Having a good political consultant on payroll probably wouldn't hurt.  Our next evening meet will include the works of our third five-item exercise.  The items, along with a sixth replacement item, will be posted below in the Conversation.  We're also planning to host The Florida Review to discuss the submission process for short story writers.  I say planning as you never know what schedules can do to a solid plan.  But as of this hour of this day, we're on the books for May 14.  Even if you're not a short story writer the insight provided by The Review still should prove worthwhile.

Not going to make it. On a roll with WIP and don't want to loose the momentum. I didn't write anything this time but was looking forward to listening. Sorry to miss all the fun. Seems I actually make it to every other meeting.

hello all, how will we find the group when we come to the restaurant?

Tell the people at the hostess desk you are with the writer's group. We meet in the side room, separate from the main dining room. I won't be there tonight, but it's easy to find.

Question? When do you start the process of turning your Authorship into a business? Are authors LLC's?

We have another Discussion under way (see link above) regarding feedback to and from other writers. Provided by Bryan, his note discusses the highs and lows of his experience with his recently published work "Rain."

From Deidre - I would love to hear people's thoughts on a subject, how do you write for a character that you really don't like and you don't want the readers to like .... Also on our FB group page.

We've also posted the item under Discussions (see above). Go there to see responses from our FB page.

Write a short story of no specific length. Use five of the six items in the story. Or use all six. Some writers have edited their work over several days, others have presented first drafts. The only standing rule is have fun writing the piece.
