A big part of being a member of WritersAnonymous is being inspired by your peers, and to inspire others. How will you inspire your WA peers?
WritersAnonymous is a writers social support group in New York City that was formally located in Boston, MA. When the group was in Boston, the members all pledged to write something ambitious and potentially life changing, and that was such a rewarding experience. We even wrote and published a book called "Seven At The Sevens," which is for sale on WritersAnonymous.org and Amazon. Also, if you do a Google search for "Seven At The Sevens," it's the first item that pops up! While there, you can also find our NPR interview about the book. Although we ended up publishing a book, the group’s main mission was about keeping each other’s writing going and on track, and holding each writer accountable to his/her own self-imposed but ambitious goals. The main purpose of WritersAnonymous.org was not about publishing a book or to have each other’s writings critiqued, although that can and did happen.
Further, WritersAnonymous is about being inspired by peers and inspiring others to find their own voices. It is about connecting with people who have a similar passion in life and who may understand you a little better because they have the same burning desire to tell a story in whatever written form it may emerge. It is also about forging new and lasting friendships in a supportive and encouraging environment during the often lonely and difficult creative writing process.
So, want to write and create something worthwhile, and also equally help others in their literary journeys? If so, join the group and let's begin!
